Major rewrite of SwapBuffers routines.
...
This rewrite abstracts out all screen compositing code into sdl_common.c
and treats pure and OpenGL modes as backends. This should make fixing
compositor bugs easier in the future, as well as providing alternate
rendering forms for weaker cards if necessary.

This fixes bug #938 . Entering combat while *in* HyperSpace appears to
